SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Join our team at Exodus, an independent dealership specializing in multiple brands of over-the-road Class 8 trucks and trailers, with two locations in the U.S. We are looking for a motivated Sales Representative to source inventory, build strong industry relationships, and drive sales growth while ensuring a seamless purchasing and rental experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Search the internet for inventory (commercial trucks and trailers) for purchase for both dealerships. Conduct research on the trucking market to understand pricing and identify the best offers/ best buys available.
  • Establish relationships with sellers of inventory to ensure a continued supply of leads.
  • In coordination with Management, call, negotiate and complete the purchase of inventory for both dealerships.
  • Obtain and complete all necessary documentation for the purchase of inventory; coordinate with Accounting, Compliance, and any other areas of the company that need to be involved to make sure that the transaction is approved.
  • Guarantee that the inventory purchase transaction is finalized in a timely manner.
  • Update inventory and send reports to Management and Accounting.
  • Work closely with Management to implement programs/activities to develop the trailer rental and sales department.
  • Use knowledge of the trailer/truck portfolio to assess the needs of different customers, explain the differences between various vehicles/models, and assist the prospect renter/buyer in selecting the vehicle that best meets their needs.
  • Maintain databases of prospective customers; update trailer inventory as needed and provide reports to Management.
  • Make outbound calls to prospective customers and follow up on questions regarding available inventory for sale/rent.
  • Answer incoming phone calls from prospective customers and provide the information the customer needs to convert into a rental/sale. If necessary, reroute calls/customers to the appropriate salesperson/department.
  • Proactively build, maintain, and manage a highly productive pipeline. Quickly and effectively respond to customers ́ inquiries via phone calls and emails.
  • Assist customers with the rental/sales process, and provide any necessary documentation to complete the sale/rent, while ensuring compliance with company requirements and guidelines.
  • Meet the goals established for the position in the areas of performance, attendance, and consumer experience.
  • Participate in regular sales calls, monthly sales meetings, and training as required.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience in Outside Sales, Business Development, or Account Management.
  • Passionate about delivering a great customer experience.
  • Must have strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Technologically proficient, including e-mail, applications, etc.
  • Highly motivated, focused and target driven.
  • Excellent selling, listening, communication, and negotiating skills.
  • Self-motivated to work until a goal is achieved.
  • Possesses a strong work ethic and demonstrates dependability and reliability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $71, $75,114.00 per year
