Community Support Systems is looking for caring and dependable Overnight Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team and make a difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

What does this rewarding role entail?
As a DSP, you'll work in small group homes located around Teutopolis, Effingham, and Dieterich, assisting with personal care needs and daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and more.

We’re looking for individuals who are:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Have a HS Diploma or GED
  • Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Compassionate and dependable, looking to be part of a great team

Training Period & Growth Opportunity:
New hires begin as part-time employees during their training period, giving them time to build skills and confidence in the role. After successfully completing training, employees will have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position if desired and available.

Shift & Pay Details:

  • Overnight Shift: 11 p.m. to 9 a.m. (days of the week vary, including occasional weekend shifts as needed)
  • Starting Pay: $19.55/hour, with a .50¢ wage increase upon DSP certification through CSS

Preferred Experience:
Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), health care aid, or home health care provider is preferred, but not required. CNA certification is beneficial but not required.
