Job Summary:

The incumbent will be able to enter and exit tanks through an opening of 18 inches at minimum; buff/grind plastic tanks, wash plastic tanks, according to specifications; ensure products meet quality standards. Be able to work in cooperation with other operators and in different areas as assigned. Must be able to read and understand blueprints. Plastic and/or metal working experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to use various tools like grinders, saws, drills and hammers.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
  • Must be able to stand, bend and kneel for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in a group or individually.
  • Must be able to wash and rinse plastic containers thoroughly.
  • Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals and use appropriate PPE (gloves, glasses, face-shield, overalls etc.)
  • Must be able to work in ambient air temperatures.
  • Must be able to maintain inventory in work area.
  • Perform routine maintenance in work areas; i.e. sweeping, straightening and basic clean up.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate ability to read and understand directions, procedures and checklists.
  • Demonstrate ability to complete work tasks given in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate ability to work both alone and in groups.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and adherence to quality.
