Job Overview
The Parts Associate plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and support within our growing multi-location automotive business. We are anticipating year over year growth in our parts department and are looking for the right individual to come on board at the ground level.

This position requires a proactive individual who is knowledgeable about automotive services, parts, and possesses strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will assist customers and internal departments with their automotive needs, manage inventory, and ensure the smooth operation of the department within the company.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their automotive parts and service inquiries.
  • Operate cash register efficiently, processing transactions accurately.
  • Maintain an organized inventory system, ensuring stock levels are adequate and items are properly displayed.
  • Utilize Counterworks to sell and manage inventory.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding parts options, pricing, and occasionally assist with service scheduling and check in/out.
  • Negotiate account agreements and provide recommendations based on customer needs.
  • Uphold phone etiquette standards when answering customer inquiries via phone or other communication channels.
  • Utilize delivery van to complete daily routes as orders require, pickup additional needs for location, and possibly manage delivery driver as growth allows.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an automotive service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience with counterworks POS and Inventory system is a large advantage.
  • Familiarity with cash register operations and basic accounting principles.
  • Sales skills to facilitate customer transactions smoothly.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage inventory control processes efficiently.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing customer interaction capabilities.
  • A passion for automotive services and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.
  • This position is located at our McBain store, so willingness to commute to this location is required.
