We thrive on our "One Team" company culture and promote teamwork and leadership within the organization.</p><p><strong>Basic Purpose</strong></p><p>GA Foods is hiring a Warehouse Worker to assist in maintaining a clean operation and proper sanitation of service articles and equipment. The ideal Warehouse Worker will be a candidate with previous experience assembling and packaging meal components in a fast-paced environment. Position will provide housekeeping support and other duties as required for daily meal production.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities Including but not Limited To</strong></p><ul><li>Performs equipment cleaning, dishwashing, general cleaning, scrubbing, floor cleaning, restroom cleaning and other related work in keeping the unit, offices and grounds clean using in-house cleaning equipment, aids and preparations</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and follow proper sanitation procedures for food preparation equipment, coolers, freezers, sinks, restrooms, dish room, general work areas and dock, waste (outside garbage)</li><li>Assist kitchen staff with packing and portioning of meals as needed</li><li>Prepares and cleans dock area as needed throughout the workday, compacts trash and cardboard, cleans parking areas and ground</li><li>Participate in company-required training</li><li>Attention to accurate counts and portioning </li><li>Practice food safety </li><li>Some manual lifting</li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods of time</li><li>Count and sort items with accuracy</li><li>Other duties as assigned by management</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>No prior experience required</li><li>HS Diploma/GED Preferred</li><li>Able to follow instructions/directions</li><li>Able to meet employer's attendance standards</li><li>Good communication skills</li><li>Team Player</li><li>Food Safety Certification or ServSafe Certification a plus</li><li>Prior experience with Pallet Jack preferred, but not required</li><li>Start time: 7:00AM </li></ul><p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis throughout the shift.</li><li>Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as machine operation, etc.) most of the workday.</li><li>Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves, but is not limited to: food debris, odors, constant equipment noise, temperature extremes, wet areas/water, or similar elements most of the workday.</li><li>Must be able to stand, walk, climb, reach, lift, carry, pull, push, grasp, stoop, squat, bend and stretch as needed throughout the shift.</li><li>Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks - primarily manual tasks - in a standing position for the entire shift.</li><li>Under 1/3: Sit, Climb or balance, Stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl, Taste or smell.</li><li>Over 2/3: See, Stand, Walk, Use hands to finger/handle/feel, Reach with hands and arms, Talk or hear.</li></ul><p><strong>Weight Lifting/Exertion</strong></p><ul><li>Under 1/3: Up to 80 lbs.</li><li>Over to 2/3: Up to 50 lbs.</li></ul><p><strong>Equal Opportunity Statement</strong></p><p>At GA Foods, we are deeply committed to the principles of equal employment opportunity.
