About the position

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for the operations of the EMC lab.
  • Partner with Compliance Engineering/test equipment owners for effective planning and execution of test requests.
  • Ensure all equipment calibrations are compliant with ISO17025 requirements and manage calibration cycles.
  • Team with EMC Engineering to ensure appropriate test systems, methods, and processes are in place.
  • Lead a team responsible for scheduling, prioritization, and throughput of all EMC testing tasks.
  • Create, review, and modify various test processes and work instructions.
  • Train, support, and mentor associates to ensure a capable and high-performance team.
  • Identify and implement process improvements related to EMC test and calibration activities.
  • Manage handshakes across shifts and prioritize tasks across test projects.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations and manage associate relations issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Previous demonstrated leadership experience in reliability, operations, or related fields.
  • Excellent academic performance with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and CAD software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3-5 years of experience in an environmental test lab or related field.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO17025, AS9100, IATF6949 standards.
  • Previous Electrical Engineering or Technician experience.
