Job Summary: The Call Center Representative performs a variety of duties. Serves as the first point of contact for patients and will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the highest level of care and support.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to patients through inbound and outbound calls, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Assist patients in scheduling appointments with healthcare providers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in booking appointments based on availability and patient preferences.
  • Educate patients on clinic procedures, services offered, insurance coverage, and any necessary pre-appointment instructions to ensure a smooth and seamless experience.
  • Listen attentively to patient concerns and proactively work to resolve issues, escalating complex matters to appropriate personnel when necessary to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Accurately input patient information, appointment details, and interactions into the clinic's database system, maintaining thorough and organized records for future reference.
  • Conduct follow-up calls with patients to gather feedback on their experience, address any outstanding concerns, and ensure patient satisfaction with the services received.
  • Collaborate effectively with other members of the clinic staff, including healthcare providers, administrative personnel, and other support staff, to coordinate patient care and support efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, patient privacy laws (HIPAA), and clinic policies and procedures in handling patient information and interactions.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education/Certifications/Licenses

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CMA certification through an accredited certified medical assistant program preferred


Experience

  • 3 + years of medical assistant experience preferred
  • Call center experience is a plus.


Required Skills/Abilities

  • Physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities sufficient to perform essential functions.
  • Good interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare software.
  • Knowledge of insurance verification and medical billing processes.
  • Understanding of patient privacy laws, such as HIPAA.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
